Jubilee Life Insurance Corporation of Tanzania Limited (“Jubilee Life/The Company/we/us”) respects the privacy and protects the personal and sensitive personal data of its prospective and existing clients and complies with Personal Data Protection Act 2022.

The personal and sensitive personal data requested will be used for the provision of quotations, administration of, and/or other services relating to individual Life/Pension/Credit Life/Funeral cover you are seeking to place with Jubilee Life or already have with us. We may also be required to provide this information to Regulators, the Government or any other institution or organization, for lawful or statutory purposes.

Your Personal/Sensitive personal data will be shared with our contracted third-party service providers for the purposes of providing additional services related to the policy you are seeking or already have with us. Your Personal and Sensitive Personal Data May also be transferred outside Tanzania through Cross border transfer of Data for the performance or conclusion of a contract or any matter that will not override your interests, freedom, and rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act. Appropriate data protection safeguards will be put in place regarding the data transferred as specified under sec 31 and 32 of the Personal Data Protection Act 2022.

Under the conditions defined on Sec 33 to Sec 38 of the Personal Data Protection Act 2022, you have the right to: -

Access your personal data and information on the processing; processing purposes, categories of personal data concerned, recipients to whom your personal data has been or will be communicated and the retention period. 2. Prevent or stop the processing of any personal data provided if the processing of the information may cause serious harm to another person.
3. Prevent processing of personal data that may be used for marketing purposes.
4. Object to any automated decision taken by us in processing your personal data. as per section 36 of the Personal Data Protection Act.
5. To be compensated as a result of any violation of your rights under the Personal Data Protection Act by Jubilee Life Insurance Company on the processing of your data.
6. To fix, block, cancel and destroy your personal data.

8. Withdraw your consent to the processing activities at any time which may affect the services we provide to you or may stop us from being able to assist you.

We reserve the right to not send you or delete your personal data in some circumstances – if we do, we will write to you setting out the reasons why, as detailed in section 33(2) of the Personal Data Protection Act 2022.

The consent below needs to be completed by you as the policy holder. This consent will be valid for the entire duration of the policy unless it is changed or revoked at any time. Where your membership requires provision of personal and sensitive information of a dependent (s), spouse, child, sibling, and parents who are over 18 years of age, the consent you sign below will be deemed to be specific consent that has been given on their behalf.
